Cluster ACT
Cluster ACT (Aggregation and Collaboration Tools) to enhance innovation, business development and promote private investments in the Mediterranean maritime sector
On the 19th November 2020, Cluster ACT Matching Event Italy will take place as a virtual matching event organized in the framework of the Cluster ACT project, funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) and aimed at developing a mechanism for maritime clusters’ networking and collaboration with private investors to enhance innovation and business development in the Mediterranean maritime sector.
The event will showcase the best innovative solutions of selected Italian maritime companies (Micro, Small, Medium enterprises and start-ups) appliable to nautical, cruising or ports and marinas sector to an audience of private investors, and award some of them with one of the prizes available:
- 8 hours of expert support to improve the investor pitch
- Market positioning assessment of the business idea (8 hours)
- Assessment of the business from a technological point of view in relation to sectoral trends (8 hours)
- Customized meetings with investors or industrial partners.
In addition, one of the awarded enterprises will be selected to access the final International Cluster ACT Matching Event, an initiative open to maritime companies at Mediterranean level that will be held in Italy in Autumn 2021.
The Cluster ACT project involves 5 Mediterranean countries, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Greece and Egypt, with the aim to enhance the economic impact of the value chains of ship/boatbuilding, coastal tourism and maritime transport, by creating concrete tools to link territories, attract private investments, and increase the collaboration rate.
Each country will organize a local matching event, and all the best innovative solutions or products selected will be presented at the International Cluster ACT Matching Event.
